The results show that the detection of diminished cooperativeness, reduced empathy, trust processing and reaction processing were successfully gamified. A questionnaire was filled by the participants to identify any deficits and the results were then compared to the findings obtained through gameplay.

This study explores the possibility of detecting social processing deficits in individuals through their participation in a story-driven serious game where the participant would interact with certain situations that are essentially gamified psychological tests. Although there are numerous verbal and written tests based on behavioral economics used to detect social processing deficits, little has been done to gamify those methods.

An individual’s ability to have regular everyday social interactions in addition to their usual behavior towards certain social situations can be impacted due to impaired social processing or social processing deficits that develop as a result of mental illnesses such depression.
